Refreshing an 1830s Virginia Farmhouse Without Erasing Its History

Designer Melissa Colgan and architect Alexander Smith turned a 1,200-square-foot 1830s log house into a two-bedroom retreat, preserving wavy glass, chink siding and local antiques.
