Eight architecture and design events fill the November calendar, spanning Dubai, Doha, New York, Dublin, London, Cairo and Miami, according to Dezeen Events Guide.
The month runs on a tight schedule. Dubai opens it on 3 November. Miami closes it on 6 December. In between: two design fairs, three national design weeks, a MENASA-focused biennial and the Dezeen Awards 2026 party at London's Royal Opera House.
So what does this change for anyone planning a November itinerary? It concentrates the year's densest cluster of fairs, exhibitions and talks into four weeks, across three continents.
Dubai Design Week marks its 12th edition
Dates: 3 to 8 November, UAE. The festival returns with a programme of fairs, exhibitions, installations, talks and markets.
Its headline event, Downtown Design, runs 4 to 8 November in the city's design district. Confirmed brands include:
- Trika Arabia
- Bottega Living
- Biscuit
- Alain Ellouz Paris
- 1971 – Design Space
The wider lineup features the competition-winning Urban Commissions installation by Dubai-based NAO Architects and the In Other Words group exhibition.
Design Doha Biennial runs nearly three months
Dates: 5 November 2026 to 31 January 2027, Qatar. The second edition celebrates design, architecture and craft from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region.
The programme includes exhibitions, talks, installations, awards and pop-up events. Its anchor show, Arab Design Now, showcases work from 81 participants — the largest single-exhibition count of any event this month.
Collectible New York returns after Brussels
Dates: 6 to 8 November, USA. The annual design fair takes place at 210 East 86th Street and presents works and talks from global designers and galleries.
The fair splits contemporary pieces into four categories:
- Main exhibition
- Fashion
- Bespoke
- New Garde
It follows Collectible's Brussels edition, held in March this year.
Irish Design Week hits its fifth edition
Dates: 7 to 14 November, Ireland. The festival runs across multiple venues, including the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Programming covers regional design, architecture and craft through exhibitions, summits, open studios, workshops, awards and talks.
BDNY brings 700 brands to the Javits Center
Dates: 8 November, USA. Boutique Design New York returns to the Javits Center with the theme Designed to Be Remembered.
The showcase highlights furniture, textiles and lighting, focusing on what the organisers call "unforgettable" materials and small details. More than 700 brands take part.
Dezeen Awards 2026 party lands at the Royal Opera House
Date: 16 November, UK. The London event announces winners across 49 project categories, plus the architecture, interiors and design projects of the year, six Designers of the Year and the Regional Showcases.
The party includes refreshments and music. The dress code: "dress to impress!"
Cairo Design Week spreads across three districts
Dates: 19 to 28 November, Egypt. The 2026 edition activates Heliopolis, Zamalek and Downtown.
The week spotlights Egyptian creativity, from contemporary design to the capital's historic architecture. The programme includes exhibitions, installations, tours of often-private properties and talks.
Miami art week spans the Atlantic close
Dates: 30 November to 6 December, USA. The week-long festival spreads across Miami Beach and the Miami Design District, with fairs, exhibitions, talks, pop-ups, open showrooms, tours and parties.
Its two largest events are Design Miami, running 1 to 6 December, and Art Basel Miami Beach, running 4 to 6 December. Dezeen Events Guide will publish its annual guide to the week, accompanied by an interactive map.
With Design Doha running into late January and Miami closing on 6 December, the November cluster effectively bookends the international design season's peak stretch.
